Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in kitchen operations and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef in coordinating and supervising all kitchen activities.
- Ensure the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
- Manage food inventory, stock rotation, and ordering processes.
- Contribute to menu planning and costing for dishes.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, providing on-the-job training.
- Implement and uphold health and safety regulations.
- Ensure compliance with Q-pro or similar audit systems.
- Take full charge of the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a hotel kitchen as a Sous Chef or similar role.
- Strong experience in fine dining, a la carte, and buffet services.
- Proven ability to cater for functions up to 500 guests.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- This is a live-out position.
