Medical Practice Manager
Medical Practice Manager needed in a Large Medical Facility based in Braynston, Johannesburg.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities of this role (critical performance areas):
- Assist in supervision and evaluate work activities of admin, cleaning, Patient Care Consultant staff, and gardener.
- Manage one's own time and the time of others.
- Maintain computerized record management systems (Medical Software) to store and process data such as patient information, and to produce reports (Telephone reports).
- Assist in ensuring that all functions pertaining to computers are done timeously i.e. Daily backups, backup and restore, medprax, month-end procedures, etc.
- Monitor organisational policies and procedures for the Centre.
- Assist in establishing work schedules and assignments for staff, according to workload, space, and equipment availability.
- Maintain communication between professionals, staff, and patients.
- Maintain awareness of general condition of health Centre and work done by service providers.
- Resolve customer complaints by following due process, and answer customers' questions regarding policies and procedures.
- Assist in supervising the work of administrative, or customer service employees to ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures, correcting errors or problems.
- Identify employee job performance problems in order to recognize causes and issues, and to work on resolving problems.
- Assist in training and instruct employees in job duties and company policies, or arrange for training to be provided.
- All discussions pertaining to organisational problems, organisational problem resolution, and personal matters will be conducted in the appropriate forums and not in public areas or reception areas of the Medical Centre.
- In the event of any security-related event, the security companies contracted to Company must be advised along with the South African police and a case must be opened.
- Adhere to all procedures as laid out in the care consultants SOP, training manual, and job description when assuming the same roles at reception.
- Execute on all reasonable instructions given by superior.
- Ensure that you are familiar with the Company’s Code of Conduct and Disciplinary and Grievance procedure as amended from time to time.
- Ensure that Centre reports are done daily.
- Ensure that all maintenance and other contractor duties/work is reported to the head of operations.

- Fluent in English and Afrikaans
