Our client, a leading player in the industrial manufacturing sector, is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Financial Manager with strong expertise in financial reporting and consolidations. Financial Reporting & Consolidations:
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for the group, ensuring they comply with IFRS and internal reporting requirements.
- Manage the group consolidation process, ensuring the accurate consolidation of financial statements across multiple entities and business units.
- Prepare detailed analysis of financial performance, highlighting variances, trends, and key insights for senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure proper intercompany eliminations and adjustments are made in line with accounting standards.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Assist with the development of annual budgets and forecasts, working closely with operational teams to align financial projections with business objectives.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance against budgets, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
Internal Controls & Compliance:
- Support the maintenance and enhancement of internal financial controls to ensure accurate and reliable financial data.
- Assist with external audits and internal audits, ensuring that all compliance requirements are met.
- Ensure the organization is fully compliant with all local tax regulations and reporting requirements.
Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with various departments (e.g., operations, sales, procurement) to understand business performance drivers and provide actionable insights for improving profitability.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, including the Executive team and Board of Directors.
Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a financial reporting and consolidations role, preferably within an industrial manufacturing or similar complex environment.
- Solid experience with group consolidation processes and financial reporting (IFRS).
- Proven track record of preparing monthly and annual financial statements for large, multi-entity businesses.
- Advanced proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems) and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly in the areas of consolidation, financial reporting, and IFRS.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to identify key financial trends and variances.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management.
