Are you someone who can:
- Advise on and provide guidance and support to stakeholders in relation to the execution of the financial crime relevant legislation, frameworks, policies, processes, and tools.
- Provide guidance and advisory services and consult with business stakeholders to recommend controls and processes to ensure legislative compliance and informed decision making.
- Comply with governance in terms of legislative and policy requirements from different jurisdictions.
- Participate in planned activities that are appropriate for own and employee development.
- Ensure that emerging legislation and the changes in relevant regulations are appropriately interpreted for impact analysis, internal monitoring plans, working papers and practices are aligned accordingly tracked.
- Ensure meaningful, timely, concise & comprehensive reporting of Financial Crime (including ABC) Profile and associated regulatory risks to governance committees and relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure development and continuous value add improvement to operational processes.
- Facilitate risk assessment and evaluation of the effectiveness of established controls.
- Drive the implementation and monitoring of the Anti-Bribery and Corruption programme.
- Make use of data analytics during financial crime reviews and validation to create efficiencies and create ongoing monitoring opportunities.
You will be an ideal candidate if you:
- BCom, LLB or bachelor’s degree (in a business-related discipline, Information/Data Management, Legal, Compliance or Auditing).
- Postgraduate Diploma in Compliance, Risk Management, or related field will be advantageous.
- Have 3 to 5 years of experience in a Risk Management, Compliance, Regulatory, Monitoring/Audit or similar environment.
- At least 3 years in a financial institution.
