General Manager of Human Capital Management - Mpumalanga, Orpen Rest Camp
SANParks requires the services of a General Manager of Human Capital Management for Kruger National Park. This position is permanent and will be based in Kruger National Park, Skukuza reporting to the Managing Executive of Kruger National Park.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful incumbent will:
- Manage the implementation of the HCM Strategy and Operational Plan.
- Provide leadership, development and management of the HCM team.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders for mutual benefit.
- Oversee the Kruger National Park remuneration and benefits.
- Actively engage in Change Management initiatives, Transformation efforts, and Culture-related processes.
- Manage the learning and development interventions within KNP.
- Oversee Employee Relations, Employee Wellness and Occupational Health and Safety.
- Manage Accuracy of Payroll and all other HCM operational interventions.
- Leading and managing the recruitment, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain sound governance and financial management of the KNP HCM unit.
- Implement programs that encourage transformation, diversity and inclusion within the workplace.
- Analyze HCM data to make informed decisions and provide reports to senior management.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Have a Bachelors Degree with Honours/ Post Graduate qualification in Human Capital Management/ Social Sciences/ Commerce/Industrial Psychology.
- Should have 7 to 9 years of Human Capital management experience as a Generalist.
- 4 years in a senior management position.
- Sound knowledge of Labour Legislation (BCEA, LRA, EEA, OHSA etc).
- Sound knowledge of Change management principles.
- Knowledge of Human Capital Management Principles.
- Knowledge of Payroll and Benefits administration.
- Knowledge of HCM Technology and Information Systems.
- Knowledge of diversity and Inclusion.
- Ability to strategize and solve problems.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and people management skills.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Qualifications and Experience which will provide an added advantage:
- Master's degree in Human Resources Management / Social Sciences / Commerce/ Business Administration will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of conservation & tourism industry.
