Commercial Underwriter
Our client, a Financial Services Provider, is looking for a Commercial Underwriter who is confident in meeting with new clients and proficient at bringing in new business. Additionally, presentation skills and experience with both renewals and generating new business are important.
Duties & Responsibilities
Candidate will be responsible for:
- Securing new business by obtaining client details.
- Approaching the market for quotes.
- Renewals (Big part of daily responsibilities).
- New Business (No cold calling, referrals will be provided).
- Amendments.
- Cancellations and Confirmations.
- Notifications of Interests.
- Drawing up Multi-Claimants reports.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Matric
- Completed Regulatory Exam: Representatives.
- Completed Short Term Insurance Certificate (NQF 4).
- 3-5 Years Commercial Underwriting experience within a brokerage environment (Non-Negotiable).
