Qualifications Education and Experience - High school diploma/GED.
- No experience required.
Licenses or Certifications - Must possess a valid state driver's license and obtain a valid Florida driver's license within thirty (30) days of hire or promotion.
- Application must be submitted for Water Treatment Plant Operator Certification "C" license test within one (1) year of being hired and Water Treatment Plant Operator Certification "C" license must be obtained within two (2) years of being hired.
Key Responsibilities: - Persons in this classification are trained in a Class A drinking water treatment facility to observe variations in operating conditions and computer data, interpret meter and gauge readings, and test results to determine processing requirements.
- Assists in performing routine troubleshooting on process equipment.
- Inspects and monitors cameras, video, plant grounds and perimeter for security purposes per the Department of Homeland Security parameters.
- Performs routine facility maintenance tasks.
- Observes start-up, operation, processes, and shut-down of reverse osmosis water plants.
- Performs other related duties as required.
