We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented individual with a background in Packhouse or Production Management to oversee our fresh produce operations. This role will involve both floor and packhouse management, ensuring optimal stock levels, product quality, and production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Fresh Produce Floor Management:
- Monitor and ensure the fresh produce shelves are stocked and well-organized.
- Communicate with Head of Department (HOD) regarding stock levels and needs.
- Ensure that the packhouse produces efficiently to keep shelves replenished.
- Manage stock ordering and planning to avoid overstock or shortage situations.
- Uphold the highest standards of presentation and quality on the floor.
Packhouse Management:
- Oversee full packhouse operations, including production scheduling and planning.
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure smooth workflow and alignment with floor demand.
- Manage stock rotation and ensure fresh produce meets quality standards.
- Monitor equipment and maintain operational efficiency within the packhouse.
- Supervise packing staff and ensure compliance with safety and hygiene protocols.
Requirements :
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Production or Packhouse Manager in the fruit/vegetable industry.
- Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail.
- Ability to take ownership of the role and work autonomously.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise between departments and staff.
- Willingness to work 6 days a week in a fast-paced environment.
