JOB DESCRIPTION: CAD Manager

Qualifications:
- Degree/Diploma Built Environment (architecture preferred)
- CAD Certification AutoCAD & Revit
- Corel Draw, Photoshop or other Design Software will be advantageous
Job Duties:
- Oversee and manage the CAD team within the engineering and construction industries
- Optimize the CAD system, managing CAD documents, handling drawing requests, and facilitating communication between internal teams and external consultants.
- Develop and implement CAD standards and procedures
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure accurate and timely delivery of CAD projects
- Provide technical support and training to CAD team members
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards
- Monitor project timelines and budget constraints
Experience:
- 5 Years Experience coordinating large Commercial and Retail projects (Retail and Commercial experience is non-negotiable)
- Proven track record of successfully leading CAD teams
- Strong verbal and written communication must have the ability to deal with stakeholders both internally and externally.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Specialist knowledge of CAD and computer graphics software, in particular AutoCAD, Revit
- Computer application and relevant software
- Reading plans, design drawings, and technical specifications
- Project management principles and procedures
- Formal application and approval procedures related to Local Government regulations.
- Building/infrastructure/construction (industry knowledge)
- Construction and Building Codes
- Relevant Legislation, council submissions etc, national standards etc
- Extensive knowledge of statutes applicable to the built environment
- Retail and commercial space experience.
- Interior Design Experience (Critical)
- BIM Experience
- Architectural Technologist (Critical)
