Role Purpose
The Talent Acquisition Specialist executes and operationalises strategic and tactical recruitment solutions, ensuring the attraction and retention of new to industry as well as experienced advisers required for sustained competitive advantage as a tied agency network. This role is responsible for delivering on sourcing strategies informed by market insights, seamless candidate experience, promoting the employer brand, and supporting business growth by developing talent pipelines that align with long-term organizational goals.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Human Resources, Behavioural Sciences, or related field.
- Preferred: Certification in talent acquisition or HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is beneficial.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE :
- At least 5 years’ experience in attracting, screening, interviewing and acquiring talent at various levels.
- Knowledge of and experience of HR practices and relevant legislation.
- In-depth knowledge of recruiting methods, with demonstrated experience in successful placements.
- 2 - 5 years’ experience as a Researcher (advantageous).
- Experience in using various agency portals and platforms to develop pipeline talent pools.
- Proven skill and experience with regards to writing advertisements, branding and advertising.
- Experience in recruiting advisers within tied agency context would be preferable.
- Strong reporting, analytical, interpersonal & communication skills.
Duties & Responsibilities
Engage and partner with business stakeholders to effectively enable end-to-end talent acquisition support
- Partners with Provincial Heads, sales management and the Human Capital (HC) team to respond to adviser talent requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, with a particular focus on new to industry and experienced advisers in service of building a sustainable and competitive tied agency network.
- Implements forward-thinking sourcing strategies to address the demand for advisers, while continuously cultivating a robust adviser talent pipeline.
- In partnership with Human Capital and Sales Managers, ensures a premium candidate experience in service of the MFP brand and values.
- Implements proactive sourcing initiatives, including pre-screening and interviewing, to identify top-tier adviser talent that meets Employment Equity principles, organizational culture, and strategic goals.
- Implements diverse sourcing tools (e.g., agency partnerships, LinkedIn, professional associations, social media) to generate high-quality recruitment leads, build specialized talent pools, and maintain a competitive edge in adviser talent acquisition.
- Serves as an acquisition adviser and enabler to sales leadership within designated province by providing actionable market intelligence, including trends in remuneration, competitor activities, and talent pool dynamics.
- Contributes to ensure optimal appointment of advisers according to best fit value proposition.
- Responds to market insights to influence talent acquisition strategies and ensure alignment with MFP’s strategic objective.
- Participates in engagements with NTI candidates as well as experienced advisers, ensuring that discussions around career opportunities, compensation, and benefits are conducted in a manner that reinforces a seamless and positive candidate experience from initial contact through to onboarding.
- Executes the facilitation of offer processes and pre-employment procedures with NTI and experienced advisers, ensuring that new hires experience a smooth and professional onboarding journey, contributing to long-term retention and integration.
- Responds to adviser workforce planning needs within designated province, implementing strategies to meet organizational talent objectives and supporting the business in achieving its long-term goals.
- Builds and nurtures professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Ensures a smooth, transparent, and positive candidate journey, from sourcing to onboarding, with clear communication at every stage.
- Handles candidate inquiries, complaints, and feedback with a customer-centric approach, driving resolution that reflects the organization's commitment to excellence.
- Implements strategies that maintain a high standard of candidate engagement, promoting MFP’s brand and value proposition.
- Conducts proactive sourcing, pre-screening, and interviews to ensure that candidates meet both Employment Equity principles and the organization’s cultural fit.
Implement and resource proactive talent solutions
- Leverage metrics and data to assess the effectiveness of sourcing strategies and recruitment processes, adjusting where necessary to improve outcomes.
- Provide regular reports and analytics to stakeholders, offering insights on market trends, talent pool dynamics, and recruitment performance.
- Utilize research tools to gather market intelligence and inform strategic recruitment decisions.
- Identify and create partnerships with relevant stakeholders to understand business priorities and requirements.
- Provide credible and appropriate market expertise and advice to network of provincial heads, sales managers, supervisors and tied advisors with the purpose to enable client growth and retention.
