About the role As our next Mine Ventilation Lead, you will report into the Underground team and be based in any of our AMC offices, Australia, Canada, UK and South Africa. You will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results. Job purpose The purpose of this role is to lead the Mine Ventilation service, focusing on developing new business and delivering consulting services to both current and strategically identified clients, aligned with agreed goals and objectives. This role will coordinate Mine Ventilation services within the broader AMC context to expand activities, offering an increased range of Mine Ventilation related services. Additionally, the role involves proactive engagement in and management of consulting activities to ensure effective service delivery. Expand Mine Ventilation services over time, including areas like mine closure planning and emissions evaluation Collaborate with Technical Mangers to integrate Mine Ventilation services within other AMC projects. Lead Mine Ventilation assignments to achieve or exceed new business targets and associated KPIs. Build relationships with clients and mange strategic client portfolios. Promote and market Mine Ventilation services through technical papers, articles, and attending industry events. Competencies Manage Mine Ventilation related projects and guide the mining engineering team in the delivery of expert ventilation solutions. Oversee project delivery and workload, in collaboration with the Regional Manager (RM) and Executive (EXT) Ensure compliance with statutes and industry practices, manage risks associated with projects, and address disputes promptly. Identify and implement process improvements for global efficiency and consultant utilization. Qualifications and experience A degree in mining engineering with more than 15 years experience relevant to the responsibilities listed above. Demonstrated track record of providing reliable mine ventilation solutions (including refrigeration/heating) to a diverse range of underground mining operations and projects. Consulting experience will be favorably considered but is not essential. Membership of an industry recognized professional organization.
