Exciting opportunity within the fiinancial services business which provide leading edge investments are looking for your minimum 5 years experience as a technical accountant-Production support with a deep understanding of investment and life products to join them on a 1 2 Month contract with a possibilty of going permanent -
Minimum Qualifications Required:
- Qualified CA(SA) preferable
- Computer Literacy (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Visio), with MS Excel at least at intermediate level.
- Knowledge of SQL data extract techniques a distinct advantage
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly numerate and able to analyse and interpret financial data to produce reports which can be understood by non-financial colleagues. Ability to work at both a detailed and strategic level
Working Experience
- At least 5 years experience post qualification with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role within the Financial Services Industry.
- Business process definition experience, to ensure optimal business performance
- Experience with financial business requirements e.g. general ledger, payment systems and reconciliations.
- Experience in solving complex problems for customers (internal or external).
- Experience in building successful relationships and working collaboratively across departmental teams.
- Experience at working in a fast paced, proactive and delivery focused environments.
- Experience in analyzing and consolidating large data sets between different systems to derive Management Information.
- Team management experience is essential.
- Working experience on SAP, Sonata, Compass would be highly advantageous.
Knowledge Required:
A successful candidate will show:
- A deep understanding of investment and life products (to subject matter expert level) in order to talk about investments confidently.
- An understanding of financial services regulation as it relates to investment platform providers.
- An understanding of platform products and operations.
- A good understanding of the IT architectural landscape and system integration
- Understanding or experience creating systems for Financial Advisers.
- A clear understanding of the competitive landscape for our platform.
- A strong understanding of change management processes.
- A broad enterprise-wide view of the end to end business and a relevant degree of appreciation for strategy, processes and capability, enabling technologies and governance.
