Transport Operations Controller

Our reputable and well-established client is a market leader in local and cross border auto logistics for vehicles and trucks. We require a dynamic, proactive Transport Operations Controller to join their Cape Town team with a positive mindset, disciplined and self-motivated disposition.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with manifesting and planning vehicles out of the region
- Assist with all local movements and port operations
- Assist with the daily briefing and debriefing of drivers
- Identify logistical challenges and implement solutions
- Provide feedback to management regarding all operational matters
- Collect drivers arriving/delivering in the region
- Drop off drivers at collection points within the region
- Planning of pilot routes in line with collection/delivery of drivers
- Management of fleet vehicles in the region
- Establish and maintain good working relationships within the organisation
- Adhere to company Policies and Procedures
- Data Capturing & record keeping
Qualifications and Skills:
- Grade 12/Matric
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience
- Code 14 with PdP
- Willing to work outside of normal work hours
- Fully conversant in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Conversant with QSA Financial Program to create purchase orders
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
