Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and uphold financial policies and procedures for regulatory compliance and best practices.
- Create and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and regularly update senior management.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of company financial records.
- Manage shareholder expectations and proactively communicate any issues.
- Provide guidance and support to finance team for efficient operations.
- Oversee real estate management, including lease negotiations and store expansions.
- Prepare store viabilities for board presentation.
- Manage risk activities including insurance and forex management.
- Review legal contracts, supplier terms, and SLAs.
- Foster close collaboration with retail operations and supply chain.
- Analyze financial data, offering strategic insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Manage company cash flow, ensuring appropriate allocation and investment.
- Drive continuous improvement of company gross profit.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align financial goals with overall business objectives.
- Implement financial strategies supporting growth and profitability.
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 5-7 years of post-article experience.
- Experience in the retail and/or property industry.
- Intermediate to advanced level Excel is highly advantageous.
- Experience with Xero is advantageous.
