Minimum Requirements: - Certification : Trade test (Fitter and Turner or equivalent)
- Experience : Essential prior experience in HD gearbox assembly and previous supervisory roles
- Technical Skills : Proficient in reading engineering drawings and using precision measurement tools
- Organisational Skills : Strong multitasking abilities and exceptional organisational skills
- Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Additional Skills : Valid driving, forklift, and crane licenses are advantageous; proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Detailed Duties and Responsibilities: - Assembly & Production :
- Manage the receipt and execution of the production plan.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Liaise with supply chain and logistics regarding component availability.
- Oversee assembly operations, including alignment and quality checks.
- Finishing and Testing :
- Control unit completion processes, including painting and lubrication.
- Ensure adherence to quality documentation and inspection procedures.
- Human Resources :
- Maintain attendance records and manage team performance.
- Conduct staff appraisals and implement disciplinary procedures.
- Machinery and Equipment :
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of assembly tools and machinery.
- Compliance and Quality Control :
- Implement safety procedures in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Maintain quality control processes and documentation throughout operations.
Technical Requirements: - Ability to read workshop orders, BOMs, and assembly instructions.
- Proficient in using various measurement tools and equipment.
- Skilled in fault diagnosis and resolution of assembly issues.
- In-depth knowledge of assembly processes for bevel helical gear sets and associated components.
