Lesaka Technologies (Consumer Division) is looking for an Insurance Capability Lead (ISL) to oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of insurance-related IT solutions that support our consumer-facing products and services. Position Overview: The Insurance Capability Lead will play a crucial role in ensuring our insurance systems are robust, efficient, and aligned with business objectives. This leadership position requires a unique blend of technical expertise, industry knowledge, and managerial skills. Key Responsibilities: System Management and Maintenance: Ensure the day-to-day operations of insurance systems run smoothly, maintaining system reliability, performance, and security while managing upgrades and configurations. Business and Technical Alignment: Act as a liaison between the IT department and business units, translating business requirements into technical specifications to optimize workflows. Process Optimization and Automation: Design, implement, and enhance process flows within insurance systems, developing automation scripts to streamline operations and improve efficiency. Insurance Industry Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of insurance standards and regulations, ensuring compliance with industry requirements and keeping abreast of emerging trends. Policy Management: Oversee policy management within our systems, ensuring accurate and timely processing of policy data while implementing effective workflows. Data Stewardship: Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security within insurance systems by developing and enforcing data governance policies and monitoring data quality. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, developers, and cross-functional teams, facilitating communication and collaboration across departments while providing training and support to users. Project Management: Lead and manage projects related to insurance systems, developing project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful delivery within scope, time, and budget constraints. Competencies: Technical Skills: Proficient in insurance system platforms, IT infrastructure, databases, and software development, with experience in automation tools and scripting languages.
