Introduction
Are you passionate about precision and automation? We're seeking a skilled Welding Technician/Programmer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in configuring, testing, operating, and maintaining robotic and automated systems to enhance efficiency and ensure top-notch quality in production.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, test, operate, and troubleshoot robots and automated systems to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
- Conduct welding penetration and torque tests, first-offs, and in-process checks to uphold product quality standards.
- Perform changeovers on spot-welding machines and conduct general maintenance on robots and spot welders.
Key Performance Areas
- Maintain plant and machinery uptime with a target downtime of 5% and machinery uptime of 95%.
- Achieve daily work execution goals, ensuring 95% efficiency, safe operation of robots, and minimal rejects.
- Foster a positive working environment and facilitate cross-training to develop multi-skilled employees.
- Write robotics programming for different part numbers and provide production support.
- Ensure timely submission of reports and adherence to company policies and procedures.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12.
- Diploma / Certificates in Robotics. Yaskawa training would be advantageous.
- At least 3 years of experience as an Automated Welding Technician/Programmer in a welding/automated environment. SKS training would be advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to evaluate robot simulations.
- Proficiency in reading mechanical assembly drawings.
- Computer literacy, including proficiency with Windows packages.
