Ensure efficiency in the Company’s Imports Logistics System and ensuring accountability for all Company inventory relating to the Importation of goods. who has current or prior experience as a supervisor over an import group handling customs brokerage, responsible for the daily fielding of questions, managing reports, SOPs, fostering accountability, developing problem solving in group, and motivate/coach Import team members with their careers and importer accounts.

- Liaising with the Warehouse, Sales and other relevant departments to determine items to order.
- Request for Proforma Invoices from Overseas Suppliers
- Processing of Overseas Purchase orders
- Placing of orders with Suppliers from overseas
- Processing of Proforma Invoices and IDF application
- Preparation of Marine Insurance Covers
- Processing of payments for Suppliers
- Preparation of Letters of Credit
- Expediting/routine follow up on status of goods to ensure that suppliers meet delivery promises
- Tracking of incoming shipments
- Liaising with Clearing Agents on cargo clearance with Customs
- Expediting inspection of goods received
- Notifying Suppliers on short-shipped, over supplied and faulty items received and taking the necessary action
- Liaise with Stock Control on Preparation of GRN and Costings
- Filing and keeping records of all imports documents
- Updating of imports register and emailing consignments status reports to Finance., Warehouse and Sales Department.
- Export Documents Preparation when requested by clients
- Liaising with Clearing Agents on cargo clearance with Customs
- Expediting inspection of goods received
- Notifying Suppliers on short-shipped, over supplied and faulty items received and taking the necessary action 21. Any other duty that may be
assigned by the Managing or Financial meetings
- ERP Master Data Management
- Overall National Co-ordination between warehouse, Branches, accounts and Sales Team on orders requisition and product specifications
- Ensure that products are received on time
- Keep up with ever changing Government Policies and Tariffs on Importation of Good
Qualifications/Requirements
- Relevant Tertiary education i.e. Supply Chain Management
- 5 years working experience in automotive/mining industry
- 5 years working experience in procurement enviornment
- Very strong computer/tech skills (Excel, Office, proprietary databases SAP).
- Critical thinker.
- Must be resourceful, flexible, organized, detail-oriented, and team-oriented.
- Ability to effectively communicate with a variety of contacts, vendors, and departments required (internal and external customers).
- Reliable. Punctual. Organized.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Discipline to implement and follow Standard Operating Procedures.
