WATER AND SANITATION TECHNICAL SERVICES ENGINEERING AND ASSET MANAGEMENT HEAD: ASSET CARE TCOE SALARY COMMENCING FROM R1,390,422 PER ANNUM WS 81/24 WATER AND SANITATION, CAPE TOWN Requirements: BSc/BTech/Advance Diploma/BEng degree Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering Relevant certification and competency such as Certified Reliability Engineer and Certified Asset Management Assessor (ISO55000 implementation requirement) Minimum of eight (8) years experience in asset management or maintenance field within relevant industry Strong working knowledge of CMMS (computerised maintenance management system) like SAP PM / SAP MM Experience with FMEA (failure mode effect and analysis), RCM (reliability-centred maintenance) and MRO management Proven track record in leading teams and personal leadership to influence and positively motivate self and peers Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders Computer literacy (MS Office applications and SAP PM) A valid Code EB (08) drivers licence. Key performance areas: Oversee and optimise the Asset Care team, setting clear objectives and providing guidance to ensure high performance and professional growth Lead, direct and manage the implementation of the water services asset management strategy in line with ISO55000 and ensure the continual revision thereof, ensuring alignment between policy, strategy and business plans Create and manage comprehensive maintenance plans, including preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance Development, implementation and ongoing refinement of service level agreements and key performance indicators including performance dashboards Ensure a proper processes and systems for the correct reflection of each asset life cycle and asset register status Track and analyse performance metrics, using data to drive improvements and ensure the reliability of assets Ensure the development and implementation of proper processes, systems and business intelligence reporting tools to ensure proper monitoring of utilisation of assigned resources and business performance Lead the risk-based, criticality framework implementation Institutionalise the use of CMMS (computerised maintenance management system) to track maintenance activities within plants for tracking work orders, planned/predictive maintenance, spare parts inventory/sharing and MRO management Providing support to the Asset Manager towards setting up and sustaining a pro-active asset management approach, with optimised Preventive (PM) and Predictive (PdM) tactics in place Undertake equipment condition-based maintenance and inspections in respect to engineering workmanship, quality and compliance with engineering policies, procedures, specifications and standards Assist the Asset Manager in planning all asset management improvement initiatives in a five-year rolling plan Employ sound reliability engineering principles and methods, to minimise the risk of non-performance to production plan and budgets caused by equipment reliability issues Liaise with planners to ensure inspection and audit findings are scheduled for remediation in accordance win the established priorities This role is a Band 6 role reporting to the Engineer.
