We act for a leading manufacturing company in the Pietermaritzburg area, currently seeking a dedicated Technical Assistant to carry out process audits, process monitoring and evaluation- ensuring that the correct specification and procedures are followed.
Key Requirements:
- Diploma in Rubber Technology/Polymer Technology.
- 1+ experience in rubber production industry.
- Computer Literacy (Advance Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily inspection of products.
- Ensure technical specifications are adhered to during the production process.
- Identification of all incoming compounds
- Compiling test reports and /or results.
- Reporting results to the customers both internally and externally
- Liaising with customers pertains to products testing and results.
- Conducting relevant tests where necessary.
- Controlling of non-conformances
- Conduct investigations upon products failures (Root Cause Analysis)
- Enforce all quality systems. (ISO 9001)
- Enforce 100% housekeeping.
- Ensure health, safety and environmental and quality policies are observed and resources for this are sourced (ISO 14001)
