The Lodge Resident Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the lodge, ensuring high standards of service, guest satisfaction, and staff performance. This role requires strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a commitment to sustainability and wildlife conservation. Key Responsibilities: Operational Management: Oversee all lodge operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance, ensuring seamless service and high-quality standards. Develop and implement operational procedures and policies to enhance guest experience and operational efficiency. Guest Experience: Ensure exceptional guest service by interacting with guests, addressing inquiries, and resolving any issues that arise during their stay. Organize and coordinate guest activities and special events, ensuring personalized experiences. Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise lodge staff, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging professional development. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff to maintain high service standards. Financial Oversight: Assist in budget preparation and monitor lodge expenses and revenue, implementing cost control measures as necessary. Ensure accurate billing and financial reporting, maintaining transparency and accountability. Sustainability and Conservation: Promote and implement sustainable practices within the lodge, including waste management and resource conservation. Engage guests in conservation efforts, educating them about local wildlife and environmental initiatives. Qualifications: Education & Experience: Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in hospitality management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role in a lodge or hotel setting. Skills: Strong leadership and team-building abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in property management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
