Our client based in the Pietermaritzburg area is seeking a trade tested Millwright with manufacturing experience to join their team.
As a Millwright, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the plant operates smoothly by maintaining and repairing all equipment. Your responsibilities will include managing the mechanical, electrical, and related systems of the plant’s machinery, performing daily maintenance on all equipment, and fostering positive relationships with the production and QA teams. You will use your strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve issues, demonstrating proficiency in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Knowledge of PLCs for effective fault finding is essential, as is the ability to read and interpret drawings related to electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical components. Additionally, you should be adaptable to change and open to constructive feedback.
Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of Grade 12 or NQF Level 3 Qualification.
- Qualified Millwright with a recognized trade certificate.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work overtime (nightshift) including weekends.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
