Job Description
The role will involve managing a team of operatives and their team leaders while also being involved with the hands-on manufacturing process. The role is hands on as well as supervisory and being able to balance this is essential. You will be responsible for the direction and supervision of up to 4 teams, totalling circa 16 operatives at any given time.
Qualifications & Experience:
The ideal candidate will have an experience in hands-on production or commercial vehicle manufacturing, and previous experience of supervisory responsibilities.
People management.
Organisation of parts and consumables for production.
Proven track record in delivering team KPI's.
Excellent organisation and time-management skills.
Ability to use power, air, hand and pneumatic tools in manufacturing.
Ability to follow engineering drawings and schematics to meet design specifications.
Welding experience is also desirable.
Candidate background:
The ideal candidate will have a background in manufacturing, with manual production experience desirable. You will have experience in a supervisory role where they can exhibit the above, along with facilitating process improvements and the ability to organise teams of people whilst carrying out your own duties simultaneously.
