We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our client's growing Projects Team in Widnes. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing and managing projects related to chemical dosing systems, specifically for the water treatment industry. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading engineering company, providing bespoke solutions focused on gas and liquid chemical dosing systems for the water sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality engineering designs for chemical dosing systems.
- Develop cable block diagrams, control panel schematics, control philosophies, and detailed electrical process calculations.
- Ensure all designs comply with health and safety standards, including the preparation of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Conduct site visits for surveys, client meetings, and to support project delivery.
- Maintain strong customer relationships by managing client expectations and balancing project demands.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Work independently while also seeking support from colleagues and line managers when needed.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in electrical design, ideally within the water or wastewater treatment industry.
- Strong background in working within a multidisciplinary project team.
- Experience in developing detailed designs from feasibility through to execution.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD for electrical design drawings.
- Adaptable and collaborative, with a proactive approach to teamwork.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with clients and colleagues.
