Established over 100 years ago, with offices across the UK and further afield, our client is now looking for an HR Manager to join their team based in Smethwick. Working in collaboration with the HR Director, you will provide a comprehensive and proactive HR service that ensures managers and employees are equipped with HR best practices that foster a high-performance culture. Salary is up to £45,000 per annum depending on experience. As the HR Manager, your duties will include:
- Proactively manage the HR team by offering support, guidance, and coaching
- Being responsible for a headcount of circa 240 employees, managing the UK and Ireland sites
- Managing complex employee relations cases
- Leading Employee Engagement and Wellbeing strategies
- Leading HR-related project work, working in partnership with the General Manager, HR Director and Business Manager
- Collaborating with all Managers and Team Leaders to provide a proactive HR service
- Supporting all business talent management activities
- Working closely with the HR Director to review the yearly compensation cycle, including pay review and bonus processes
- Overseeing all recruitment and selection activities
- Offering guidance to managers for the onboarding of new employees
- Reviewing HR policies and processes for consistent compliance with legislation
- Manage the UK and Ireland fleet, circa 120 vehicles
- Identifying training and development needs and source L&D solutions
- Developing and leading HR-related internal training initiatives and programmes
- Carrying out other duties as determined suitable by the HR Director
As the HR Manager, you will have:
- Previous HR Generalist experience
- Previous experience in project management from start to completion
- Knowledge of UK Employment Law
- A CIPD qualification, however, this is not essential
- You may have experience in the following: HR Generalist, HRBP, HR Business Partner, HR Manager, Human Resources Officer, People Business Partner, Director of People, Head of People, HR Associate, HR Consultant or any other similar position
