Minimum Job Requirements :
- BEng/BSc (Eng) in Chemical/Civil Engineering or BSc(Hons) in Chemistry, Microbiology, or Environmental Science.
- 1015 years experience in water and wastewater treatment, with at least 5 years in senior managerial roles.
- Pr. Eng. registration with ECSA or Professional Natural Scientist registration with SACNASP.
- Additional advantage: MEng/MSc (Eng) (Chemical/Civil Engineering) or MSc (Chemistry, Microbiology, or Environment Science).
- Valid drivers license.
Knowledge Required :
- Public Finance Management Act, National Treasury Regulation, and Water Services Act.
- Assets care and management.
- Drinking water quality management.
- Human Resources.
- Financial Management and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).

Key Responsibilities : Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, youll:
- Lead water demand management and conservation efforts.
- Coordinate operations and maintenance across all CORPORATION water supply regions.
- Ensure compliance with Water Use license agreements.
- Oversee prompt and cost-effective work for clients.
- Manage water sales and revenue targets.
- Ensure laboratory compliance (ISO 17025, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001).
- Uphold drinking water quality standards (SANS 241).
- Compile comprehensive quarterly reports for the Board.
- Lead budgeting processes and monitor budget utilization.
- Optimize CAPEX and OPEX budgets.
- Develop departmental risk profiles.
- Conduct annual strategic planning.
- Drive effective project management.
- Oversee infrastructure care and management.
- Align policies and procedures with regulations and our business model.
- Uphold legal compliance, ethical standards, and confidentiality.
