Role description
A Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for identifying, attracting, and hiring top technical talent to meet the organization’s needs. This role involves strategic planning, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding candidates, with a focus on building a strong employer brand and ensuring a positive candidate experience.
Role responsibilities
- Write and publish compelling technical job descriptions.
- Source potential candidates from specialized platforms such as Stack Overflow and GitHub.
- Evaluate resumes to parse technical skills and qualifications.
- Conduct pre-screening calls to assess candidates’ capabilities.
- Conduct interviews using diverse methods (e.g., structured interviews, technical assessments, behavioural questions).
- Collaborate with Operations to forecast departmental goals and hiring requirements.
- Create and distribute personalized recruitment emails showcasing current job opportunities to passive candidates.
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires.
- Enhance the company’s reputation as an attractive employer.
- Stay updated with emerging technological trends and products.
Requirements
Role requirements
- Proven work experience as a Technical Recruiter or Recruiter.
- Hands-on experience with various interview formats (e.g., phone, Zoom, structured interviews).
- Technical proficiency to comprehend and articulate job requirements.
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and resume databases.
- Strong knowledge of sourcing techniques such as social media recruiting and Boolean search.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resources Management or IT (advantageous)
