We have an opening for a Maintenance Fitter in our Engineering Services Section at our Durban Factory. As a member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our assembly areas while upholding the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Mechanical Maintenance: Execute scheduled and ad-hoc mechanical maintenance on all machines in the assembly areas, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.
- Safety First: Maintain the highest level of safety standards, conducting machine inspections to identify and rectify areas of non-compliance with the OHS Act and regulations.
- Commitment to Excellence: Uphold company-specific 5S housekeeping standards, fostering a culture of cleanliness and organization in the Maintenance Workshop and Factory.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the Factory and Maintenance Workshop, seeking out opportunities to enhance processes and optimize efficiency.
Minimum Requirements
- Trade Tested Professional: Hold a trade-tested Fitter qualification with a minimum N3 qualification.
- Industry Experience: Bring a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Maintenance Fitter in a manufacturing environment.
- Safety Focus: Possess a strong safety culture, prioritizing the well-being of yourself and your colleagues at all times.
- Analytical Skills: Knowledge of hazard identification and risk analysis, coupled with strong fault-finding and root cause analysis skills.
