Role Description
- Manage and run the regional South Africa and UK TA Finance Function.
- Review and approve key month end financial reconciliations.
- Prepare tax calculations and regulatory returns.
- Ensure B-BBEE compliance; candidate must have a good understanding of B-BBEE.
- Manage and submit treasury requirements to the group.
- Manage the statutory and group audits of the entity.
- Build reports and perform data analysis.
- Formulate client charge models (rate cards) and analyze costs attributed to these services.
- Attend operational meetings with managers and respond to finance-related queries.
- Review, monitor, and manage budgets.
- Develop and prepare monthly costing model.
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and the budgeting process.
- Ensure that all appropriate internal controls are always functioning effectively.
- Assist team in terms of problem resolution and troubleshooting.
- Manage and ensure high standard of service delivery to clients and key stakeholders.
- Liaise with and build effective communication between departments.
- Prepare and analyze monthly management reports.
- Produce financial reports related to budgets, account payables, account receivables, expenses, etc.
People - Develop, mentor, and coach team leaders.
- Develop accounting, internal control, and business knowledge within the team.
- Effective productivity and capacity management.
- Performance manage the finance team and structure work allocation.
Strategy - Design/review/implementation of best practices for structure of accounts, reconciliations, and reports.
Organizational Design - Regional finance function within South Africa.
Team Responsibilities - The team is responsible for maintaining and preparing financial information for the SA region and UK TA.
Specific Role Responsibilities - Manage all the outputs of the SA regional finance team.
- Report monthly group results to the group team.
- Ensure all statutory requirements are met, i.e., Tax, BBEEE.
- Work closely with the regional CFO and ensure all finance reporting is done accurately.
Experience and skill set required - Ability to build reports and perform data analysis (great advantage).
- Proven experience as a Financial Accountant/Manager.
- Experience in the financial sector (at least three years).
- Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns.
- Proficient user of finance software.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Able to manage, guide, and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
- The role requires the successful candidate to work closely with a global finance team.
- Qualified CA/Completed Articles (non-negotiable).
