MARKET RELATED Minimum requirements:
Minimum 3 years experience as a Shipchandler Receive and analyse enquiries received from clients (specification matching, etc.) Strategic sourcing of suppliers & products (locally and internationally) via our database, market research, Internet, etc. Get all the necessary information to be able to quote the client utilising mark up and foreign exchange conversion Follow up on quotations done to secure orders, manage all queries and negotiate with clients Place and administer orders Liaison with suppliers to ensure smooth delivery process Inspections of products (compliance, quality, packaging, etc.) Establish Packing List, invoice Be present at loading of goods and delivery to ships Regular marketing to retain existing relationships and establish new relationships within the industry (i.e. ship captains, etc.) Proposals of processes to streamline the Shipchandling Division to be as efficient and customer friendly as possible Any other duty that is reasonable and relevant to this position
