Our client is seeking a hands-on Stores Manager to oversee all aspects of their inventory and logistics at their prestigious 5-star hotel in Polokwane. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food and beverage management, ensuring efficient stock control and exceptional service standards.
Duties and Responsibilities: - Manage stock control and purchasing of all food and beverage items, equipment, smalls, maintenance, and other requests
- Oversee the control and management of hotel vehicles
- Ensure smooth operations of all store functions
- Allocate staff for requisitions, issuing, bulk preparation, and portioning
- Maintain store cleanliness and implement effective stock rotation
- Train and develop staff to enhance operational efficiency
- Manage personnel effectively to foster a productive work environment
Requirements: - Matric certificate
- Hospitality Degree/Diploma (advantageous)
- Extensive knowledge of food and beverage items
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a management position
- Previous experience in store management or logistics management
- Familiarity with Micros System or other stock management systems is preferable
