Role Overview: As the Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for the full finance function, including financial reporting, budgeting, and maintaining accurate financial records. You will report directly to the Financial Manager and play a key role in ensuring the financial health of the organization.
Key Responsibilities: - Full Finance Function: Handle the full accounting cycle, from preparing financial statements to balance sheet reconciliations.
- Accounts Management: Manage accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations, and ensure cash flow is properly monitored.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- General Ledger: Maintain accurate records in the general ledger, oversee journal entries, and ensure proper documentation.
- Compliance and Taxation: Ensure compliance with tax regulations, prepare VAT returns, and assist with tax filings.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing financial insights and analysis.
- Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring all financial documentation is available and accurate.
- Process Management: Take ownership of financial processes, identify areas for improvement, and ensure deadlines are consistently met.
Requirements: - BCom Degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles is essential.
- 2 years of post-articles experience in a production industry
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial processes, and reporting standards.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Driven and deadline-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
