Job Title: Grain Silo Manager Free State
Minimum Education/Training Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Qualified Grain Grader
- Possession of all grading and fumigating certificates
Required Minimum Work Experience:
- At least 6- 10 years of operational experience in handling and storage of grain
Key Performance Areas:
- Market available grain and promote silo services, including storage capacity.
- Oversee daily reconciliation of grain stock, ensuring quality and quantity control.
- Ensure correct blending of grain in line with quality specifications.
- Conduct regular calibration and testing of all grading equipment.
- Monitor monthly income and expenses, taking corrective actions on any deviations.
- Conduct regular inspections of fixed assets to ensure their proper condition.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external clients.
- Manage capacity planning and bin allocation to maximize the use of storage facilities.
- Oversee grain dispatch rates, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements.
- Identify and implement new opportunities for silo or bunker operations.
- Maintain a safe working environment according to Health and Safety Policy and relevant legislation.
- Accurately capture and reconcile weekly and monthly reports, addressing any deviations.
- Recruit, manage, and evaluate employees, resolving grievances and disciplinary issues as per HR policies.

- Proficiency in using grain grading equipment and ensuring its regular calibration
