Job Title - Injection Moulding Setter
Salary - Up to 35k
Location - Peterborough
Hours - Mon - Fri 07:00 to 15:00, 15:00 to 23:00, 23:00 to 07:00 on a two-weekly rotation with a 30 minutes' paid break, totalling 40 hours per week.
Purpose of the Injection Moulding Setter role:
Our client is looking for an Injection Moulding Setter To carry out competent and efficient mould changes. To maximize OEE by improving Uptime, Quality and Cycle efficiencies.
Main duties and responsibilities of an Injection Moulding Setter:
- Daily running of moulding machines in line with Mould shop capacity plan.
- To monitor machine utilization for all shifts using ThingTrax monitoring system.
- Updating ThingTrax to indicate machine status i.e., running, tool change, sampling etc.
- Check during shifts that all available machines are running. Reporting to senior setter or Shift Manager any issues which effect machine running.
- Carry out tool changes to achieve maximum utilization in conjunction with mould shop plan and running priority.
- Monitor tool changes per shift and durations, identify areas for improvement.
- Target worst case cycle times and install improvement actions. Once worst cases are actioned move to next level with overall objective of all machines being within quoted cycle times.
- Check daily quality issues with quality department/inspectors and plan corrective actions.
- Carry out setting-conditioning / tool hanging to maximize machine running performance.
- Record data relevant to process controls (setting sheet), process improvements and best practices.
Experience/knowledge requirements for an Injection Moulding Setter:
- Previous experience as an Injection Moulding Setter in a manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to work effectively, communicate with others and be willing to work as a part of a team
- Good organisational skills.
- Ability to work under minimum supervision.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Self - motivated individual.
- Possess excellent attention to detail.
