Houst requires the services of an experienced financial manager or an ambitious financial accountant. The ideal candidate should have an eye for detail and ability to manage a team. You should expect to manage all of our jurisdictions compliance, reporting and forecasting. While being open to team and departmental collaboration. The ideal candidate will have a degree in the financial field and possess a professional designation (SAICA, SAIPA or similar). Key tasks include, but not limited to:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports in accordance with (GAAP/IFRS/Local Standards).
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial reporting, including P&L statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and equity statements.
- Manage the consolidation of financial statements for multi-entity organisations.
- Support the preparation of management and board-level financial reports.
- Compliance & Regulatory Filings: Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax laws, and regulations.
- Coordinate with external accountants across the globe, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financial data.
- Manage the preparation and submission of statutory financial reports and tax filings.
- Financial Controls & Process Improvement: Implement and maintain financial reporting controls and procedures to ensure data integrity.
- Continuously assess reporting processes for improvement opportunities and increased efficiency.
- Lead initiatives to automate and enhance reporting systems.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the budgeting process by providing accurate financial data and insights.
- Collaborate with the FP&A team to develop and track financial forecasts.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to ensure accurate data flow and alignment of financial information.
- Provide financial insights and guidance to support decision-making by senior management.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (SAICA, SAIPA or similar qualification preferred).
- Minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Experience with financial consolidation and multi-entity reporting.
- Proficiency in financial management software is a plus (Xero).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Experience working with external auditors and managing external processes.
