Butcher Manager
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the butcher shop, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality service
- Manage a team of butchers, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and maintain appropriate stock levels
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the butchery
- Coordinate with suppliers to negotiate prices and maintain good relationships
- Create and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any customer complaints or issues
- Implement and uphold food safety standards and best practices
- Keep abreast of industry trends and developments to stay competitive
Essential Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Butcher Manager or similar role
- Knowledge of meat cuts, preparation, and storage
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Attention to detail and quality control
- Proficiency in relevant computer applications
- Certification in butchery or relevant field
Desired Experience:
- Experience in meat industry or butcher shop management
- Track record of meeting sales targets and managing budgets
- Familiarity with local suppliers and market trends
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Experience in staff training and development
