Job Description
To maintain the standard costing system, analyse product costing, and review product profitability.
Responsibilities:
•Calculate profitability per product based on actual and budgeted expenditures and investigate variances
•Support sales and marketing with the calculation of a recommended retail price point based on cost structures and manufacturing capacity
•Report on monthly manufacturing costs and perform investigations where necessary
•Control stock-related financial transactions
•Run detailed stock reports and conduct analysis of stock, including high-risk and slow-moving items
•Prepare monthly reporting on overall stock levels for different categories of stock as well as variance reporting for stock adjustments
•Follow and complete weekly and month-end processes
•Analyse job yield and variances
•Assist the Management Accountant with identifying past cost increases and forecasting potential future raw material price increases
•Assist with all stock and profitability-related audit queries
•Prepare information to support budget and forecast construction to be reviewed by the Management Accountant and the Financial Manager.

Job Requirements
•BCom or relevant financial degree
•3 years of cost accounting experience
•Knowledge of Syspro is desired
•The ability to process and interpret financial data
•Commercial awareness

•Excellent planning skills.
