Amazon South Africa Marketplace Team is seeking a talented Business Develop Manager to join us as an expert for our 3P business. As a Business Development Manager you will contribute to the development of our tools, processes and best practices. You will be responsible for identifying and building relationships with key external partners, internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to create and present compelling Amazon solutions that meet and exceed customer requirements. You will build success cases together with those stakeholders by providing business insights, training and identifying business opportunities and executing a growth strategy.
The ideal candidate will possess a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and e-commerce challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions to sellers of all sizes.
Key job responsibilities
- Identify new segments and unlock new strategic partners with best-in-class service.
- Maintain a high level of engagement from potential partners and proactively identify the challenges they are facing. Build relationships with key stakeholders across the portfolio.
- Identify and lead complex projects or initiatives to solve seller pain points and improve experience.
- Communicating ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing, to all types of audiences and not limited to writing narratives, business cases and other strategic documentation.
- Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders, including sales, account management, business intelligence, and product teams;
- Manage external partners and negotiate service prices.
- Develop and implement business strategies
- Track and report performance using appropriate metrics. Achieve productivity and seller satisfaction targets
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor Degree.
- 3+ years of business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business experience.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Project Management skills (regular updates, Program flashes, audits, review meetings, process audits).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to quickly build credibility with external partners and internal Amazon stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work with global technology and business teams.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to roll up sleeves and execute to get the job done.
- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
- Experience in working in an ambiguous environment with changing priorities
- SQL knowledge
