Job Description
We are looking for a conceptual and pharmaceutical copywriter to lead in creating integrated campaigns for one of South Africa’s biggest pharmaceutical brands.
Position Overview
: As a seasoned Medical Copywriter, you will collaborate with strategy, creative, and client teams to craft and execute integrated campaigns across multiple touchpoints. Your work will span print articles, digital content, social media, outdoor advertising, and point-of-sale materials, focusing on platforms such as Vaccines, Oncology, Specialty Care, and Hospital Care.
This role requires a deep understanding of global brands, the ability to connect with local markets, and adaptability to various media landscapes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Campaign Development:
o Lead the creation of integrated campaigns from brief to execution.
o Develop content for print articles, digital platforms, social media, outdoor advertising, and point-of-sale materials.
2. Collaboration:
o Work closely with strategy, creative, and client teams to ensure cohesive and effective campaign execution.
o Leverage production tools from both the Publicis group and the client to enhance campaign quality.
3. Content Creation:
o Craft compelling, accurate, and engaging content across various pharmaceutical platforms, including Vaccines, Oncology, Specialty Care, and Hospital Care.
o Adapt writing style and voice to connect with different market segments.
4. Media Engagement:
o Understand and utilize both digital and traditional media channels, from radio to emerging platforms like TikTok.
5. Quality Assurance:
o Ensure all content is grammatically correct, edited, and proofed to high standards.
o Maintain attention to detail and appreciation of great brand design throughout all deliverables.
6. Culture:
o Support company culture; actively seek new, smarter ways of doing things.
o Be seen as an ambassador for the company.
o Join in the agency culture to build strong relationships across the business.

• Experience:
o Minimum of 4 years of professional copywriting experience with a solid portfolio demonstrating craft, conceptual thinking, and integrated campaign work.
o Pharmaceutical industry experience is essential.
• Skills:
o Exceptional writing and research abilities, with a strong grasp of grammar and narrative editing.
o Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
o Social media or content marketing experience is a plus.
o Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. • Attributes:
