Job Description
A leading international consulting firm is looking for a Principal Tailings Engineer to join their Johannesburg team.
Minimum Requirements:
•BEng/BSc Civil Engineering
•Post Graduate qualifications in geotechnical or water engineering will be beneficial
•15+ years experience with tailings and water dam design, and associated lining systems.
•Substantial experience in mine waste engineering in a consulting environment.
•Good experience in the technical review of design works, reports and proposals.
•Extensive experience in leading project teams.
•Proven track record in project delivery, managing and mentoring team and the ability to create strong relationships with clients
•Good experience with and understanding of water engineering and closure needs and developments with particular reference to mine waste facilities and the Mining sector.
