Responsibilities
: Quality Assurance Analyse possible reasons for product defects and quality lapses. Lead traceability investigations on the source of quality lapses and other product issues. Analyse possible reasons for process deviations and product defects and quality lapses. Develop product and process quality metric reports. Develop sampling plans for quality control purposes. Develop inspection and testing protocols for materials, products, and packaging. Specify the protocols and manufacturing infrastructure and equipment to be inspected and tested. Devising ways to improve the production process to ensure higher-quality goods. Establish SOPs and conditions for handling, storage, and preservation of samples. Develop SOPs and infrastructure requirements for laboratories and optimal calibration standards in line with good manufacturing practice (GMP) requirements. Ensuring compliance with regard to recipes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Gaining an understanding of the client’s needs and requirements and the quality standards of the production teams. Supervising inspectors, technicians, and other staff members and providing guidance on quality and safety measures. Oversee corrective and preventative actions (CAPA) implementation and documentation with other departments. Investigate technical faults and practices that impact manufacturing equipment operations. Inspecting the final output, comparing it to the requirements, and approving or rejecting the final products. Lead and motivate the Quality team; ensure that the team is happy, productive, and appropriately trained for the machinery they are using. The Quality Manager will be accountable for the actions of his team. Verify alignment of sampling documentation, testing activities, and procedures with established protocols to identify issues. Verify quality control (QC) records, test results, and reports for regulatory authorities.

Qualifications: 2 or more years of experience working in a quality-related field in a food manufacturing environment Provide support to training staff Complete CAR (Corrective Actions Requests, and/or Non-Conformities) issued by the CFIA Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other employees to promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate that will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity and efficiency/effectiveness Conduct must be in a professional manner, including appearance and demeanor, at all times
