Overview
Our client, a civil construction company in Polokwane, is currently seeking a Plant Hire Facilitator to assist in managing the hiring and deployment of plant machinery and equipment for our projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of plant equipment, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of coordinating logistics for construction projects.
Responsibilities:
– Coordinate with project managers to assess equipment needs for upcoming projects
– Source and hire plant machinery and equipment from suppliers
– Negotiate rental contracts and agreements with vendors
– Ensure timely delivery and collection of equipment to and from project sites
– Coordinate maintenance and repairs for equipment as needed
– Monitor and track inventory of equipment and machinery
– Provide regular updates to project managers on equipment availability and usage
– Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations
Requirements:
– Previous experience in a similar role within the civil construction industry
– Knowledge of plant machinery and equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and cranes
– Strong organizational and communication skills
– Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software
– Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed
