Functionality of the role and responsibility: Investigating complaints, assisting in completing troubleshooting, RCAs and loop closure procedures. Achieve electrical/mechanical engineering operational objectives by contributing electrical/mechanical engineering information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews. Achieve electrical/mechanical engineering financial objectives by forecasting electrical/mechanical engineering requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions. Develop strategic plans by studying operational plans, existing conditions, determining the need to accomplish operational plans, mapping solutions, updating and modifying requirements and solutions, preparing cost estimates and budgets. Maintenance of systems by establishing and enforcing preventive and ongoing maintenance, and testing programs, scheduling repairs, coordinating shutdowns and installations. Updates job knowledge by remaining current on codes and requirements, participating in educational opportunities.

Requirements: Tertiary Qualification in Electrical Engineering is preferred or Mechanical Engineering with related experience or equivalent. Minimum 5 years as a Maintenance Manager within the food manufacturing industry is preferred. Must have a good understanding of preventative and planned and predicted maintenance measures. Must be a team player.
