Position Title : Financial Reporting Professional
A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Financial Reporting Professional at Siemens Energy, you will have a crucial role in overseeing adherence to accounting standards, managing general accounting operations, and preparing annual financial statements. Your meticulous attention to detail and extensive professional knowledge will guarantee the seamless execution of approved accounting policies and procedures, in accordance with internal guidelines and external accounting standards. You will also have the chance to share your expertise by training colleagues on existing and upcoming accounting standards, while offering valuable assistance to the business in resolving technical inquiries and complying with local regulations.
How you will make an impact
Manage compliance with accounting standards, general accounting operations, and preparation of annual financial statements. Ensure implementation of approved accounting policies and procedures for assigned organizational unit(s) in accordance with legal requirements. Prepare and deliver training on current and new accounting standards. Provide support in resolving technical queries from the business to ensure compliance with regulations. Manage and support external auditors on annual financial statements reporting. Prepare statutory annual financial statements in accordance with local GAAP. Ensure compliance with risk and internal controls related to accounting and controlling function. Manage, develop, and coach SAICA trainees to fulfil assigned responsibilities. Perform reviews to analyse and evaluate assets, liabilities, and stocks. .
What You Bring
1-3 years of relevant experience in accounting. Qualified CA (SA). International exposure. Deep professional know-how and experience with accounting standards. Strong professional judgment and problem-solving competence. Ability to critically analyze situations and explain the outcome and rationale for solutions. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
