Job Title: Electrical Systems and Field Engineer
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Systems and Field Engineer with a specialization in Electrical Engineering Heavy Current to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
Responsibilities:
Design electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards Conduct feasibility studies and cost estimates for electrical projects. Collaborate with other engineers and technicians to develop electrical system designs and specifications. Plan and implement electrical system installations, including equipment and materials selection. Conduct quality control assessments to ensure adherence to design specifications and industry standards. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical system issues, both on-site and remotely. Perform regular maintenance and periodic inspections of electrical systems and equipment. Provide technical guidance and support to field technicians and other team members. Review and interpret electrical system drawings, schematics, and technical documentation. Stay up-to-date with advancements in electrical engineering technology and industry practices. Perform electrical system modelling, protection design, protection and system commissioning, bill of quantities and AutoCAD drawings.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current) with 3-5 years of experience National diploma in Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current) with 5-10 years of experience Drivers’ licence Fluent in English and Afrikaans Team player but also independent worker Must be willing to travel and sleep out occasionally Proficiency in using electrical design software (., AutoCAD, ETAP).
