Our client, a leading construction company in Durban, is seeking a Construction Manager to join their team.
As a Construction Manager, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing the progress of construction projects in a timely and cost-effective manner. You will work closely with the project team to ensure quality standards are met, deadlines are achieved, and budgets are maintained.
Responsibilities
Manage and oversee construction projects from start to finish Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets Coordinate resources, equipment, and materials needed for the projects Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards Monitor project progress and address any issues or delays Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors Prepare reports and documentation for project updates and analysis
Requirements
Registered with PIM & PPM SACPMP Registered Mechanical, piping, structural steel experience. Installations of heat exchangers and pressurised equipment Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field Minimum of 15 years of experience as a Construction Manager Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials Excellent project management skills Liase with clients Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications Strong communication and leadership skills Proficient in project management software and MS Office Knowledge of local building codes and regulations
