Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage key relationships across channels
- Grow relationships with a select group of clients and agencies defined across the Commvibe portfolio of channels and related community stations represented exclusively by Mediamark.
- Cultivate a deep understanding of client business to ensure high level, turnkey solutions that unlock revenue.
- Manage client engagements including roadshows, immersions, workshops, and key meetings with the client set.
- Build relationships, uncover challenges and needs with clients and relevant agencies and communication partners.
- Identify trends and threats in select sectors to upsell new and existing products.
- Monitor performance of a portfolio (area of responsibility) on a weekly basis
- Be part of an integrated solutions team to offer clients specialized media solutions through variety of opportunities.
- Promote Mediamark, Commvibe and its brands to clients.
- Be an active and highly effective networker.
- Build strategic and collaborative working relationships with internal and external customers, focusing on high visibility with all key stakeholders.
- Build relationships across exclusive and non-exclusive station brands
- Committed to support and execute on Mediamark’s overarching business strategy across channels.
Manage a portfolio of advertising clients and agencies to ensure portfolio targets are achieved:
- Achieve and exceed sales revenue budgets.
- Develop a sales strategy to achieve set budgets by brand relevant to a specific portfolio.
- Develop detailed action plans to execute the sales strategy.
- Actively engage all available datapoints/touchpoints/information platforms to ensure solutions and market conversations remain relevant and impactful
- Initiate and participate in sales pricing and tactical pricing initiatives with Business Intelligence team
- Develop and manage Commvibe sales strategy in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Ongoing measurement of sales plans to ensure revenue budgets are achieved and sales behaviour exceeds expectations.
- Assist in all relevant strategic review and planning meetings and ensure presentation content is timeously submitted and professionally captured.
- Monitor annual commitments and regularly track spend trends.
- Develop new business and maintain existing business.
- Manage the station brands’ engagement opportunities for advertiser benefit
- Prepare relevant reports providing feedback on sales activity, sales performance, and all matters in process, outstanding, or in need of resolution.
- Carry out any reasonable request relating to Mediamark and Commvibe, which may include afterhours work.
Qualifications
- Matric
- Tertiary education in sales / marketing /business related sphere

Experience
- Atleast 5 years of agency and/or client facing media sales experience
- Proven track record at a leading South African media owner in media sales with consistent achievement of revenue targets
- Experience in presenting to large and small audiences of various levels within a business
