As the Cloud Engineer, you will assume responsibility for the setup and maintenance of Google Cloud infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation of cloud solutions daily. Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Software Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience with Google Cloud Platform
- Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer certification is essential
- Proficiency in Microsoft Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, Virtual Machines and DNS
- Strong problem-solving and reporting skills
- Attention to detail
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up infrastructure for EHR software and other third-party applications
- Plan, configure, deploy, and maintain cloud solutions according to specifications
- Configure access and security measures in Google Cloud Platform
- Monitor and manage the cloud environment, implementing security solutions as needed
- Assist in pricing out solutions in Google Cloud Platform
- Utilize internal tools for generating hardware configuration proposals
- Review and submit pricing proposals within deadlines
- Lead assigned proof of concept projects, providing technical feedback and recommendations
- Stay updated on industry trends and Google Cloud Platform updates to improve infrastructure and processes
- Participate in technical meetings with customers and address raised issues promptly
- Handle support tickets and review technical documents and reports
- Investigate and propose solutions to technical issues, following change control processes
- Monitor and report on SLAs, cloud spending, and security measures for customers and internal infrastructure
- Perform scheduled maintenance on Windows VMs, ensuring uptime during patching
- Oversee backup processes to ensure consistent and reliable backups according to schedules
- Plan and conduct regular disaster recovery testing
- Assist customers in recovering from disasters if necessary
- Maintain accurate time logs and handle leave requests efficiently
