Cyber Security Assurance Specialist
£630 p/d | Outside IR35 | 12 Months | Manchester (1 day per week)
Join a major cyber transformation programme within a highly regulated environment where you'll play a key role in strengthening security assurance across critical Operational Technology (OT) and cloud platforms.
This is an opportunity to influence security strategy, challenge technical decisions, and drive assurance activities across some of the organisation's most business-critical systems. You'll work directly with architects, engineering teams, risk owners, and senior stakeholders to ensure cyber risks are understood, managed, and aligned to industry best practice.
What You'll Be Doing
Leading cyber assurance activities across complex OT and cloud environments
Assessing security controls against NCSC CAF, NIST and ISO standards
Conducting and supporting internal and external audits
Providing expert guidance on cyber risk, governance and compliance
Challenging and influencing stakeholders at all levels to drive security improvements
Supporting the evolution of the organisation's cyber assurance capability
What We're Looking For
Strong experience working with the NCSC Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF)
Technical cloud security expertise across Azure, AWS or GCP
Experience operating within OT or critical infrastructure environments
Proven track record leading audits from planning through to remediation
Knowledge of Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001, ISO 27005 and/or NIST
