We are recruiting a Motor Vehicle Instructor in Milton Keynes to work within an Alternative Provision, delivering practical motor vehicle sessions to young people who benefit from a more hands-on approach to learning.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced mechanic or automotive professional who would like to pass on their knowledge and help young people develop valuable practical skills.
The Role:
Deliver engaging, practical motor vehicle and mechanics sessions.
Introduce pupils to vehicle maintenance, basic mechanics and workshop skills.
Encourage safe working practices and appropriate use of tools and equipment.
Support young people who may present with challenging behaviour or disengagement from education.
Build positive relationships and promote confidence, independence and employability skills.The Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience in motor mechanics, vehicle maintenance or the automotive industry.
Confident sharing practical knowledge and demonstrating mechanical skills.
Patient, approachable and able to engage young people.
Comfortable supporting pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs.
Teaching qualifications are desirable but not essential.Pay: £120-£180 per day, depending on experience.
